Malachowski approaches Harting

The reigning European Champion Piotr Malachowski (POL   ) competed at the Janusz  Kusoci „sk Memorial in Poland. He won with his season´s best 68.49m which proves that 28 year old Olympic silver medalist is getting into a good form.

Malachowski is now ranked #2 in the season´s top list. The leader is still Robert Harting (GER   ) with 68.99m.

Benn Harradine (AUS   ) got the second place after Malachowski. He threw 65.34m which is his 9th result all-time. Harradine´s season´s best is 66.04m thrown in Halle.

Harradine was followed by Roland Varga (CRO   ) with 64.17m and Róbert Fazekas (HUN   ) with 63.32m.

In the men´s shot put Tomasz Majewski (POL   ) won over  Andrey Mikhnevich (BLR   ). Majewski put 21.25m, his season´s best is  21.39m. Mikhnevich ended up with 20.91m.

In the women´s hammer both former world record holder Tatyana  Lysenko (RUS   ) and Anita  W ‚odarczyk (POL   )  were on fire. Lysenko won with 70.18m and Wlodarczyk was second with 69.62m.  Wlodarczyk  was just short of the 70 meter mark that she wanted to achieve, but she still believes she will get back to form for the World Championships.
