Omar El-Ghazaly (EGY
), the reigning African discus champion is training in Tallinn since 25 May. Trainings has gone well except some "old" problems with groin which stops him throwing with maximum effort for few days.
El-Ghazaly had competitions in Tartu and Tallinn both ending up with over 62m efforts. Those results are decent comparing which period of trainings he had - hard trainings and no rest before the competitions. His season´s best so far is 64.79m. El-Ghazaly is fully focused on the World Championships.
With his coach Aleksander Tammert, they plan to stay in Estonia until 14 August.
