NCAA Missing the Ball–Dominator Athletics' Tungsten Ball

Fellow Throwers and Coaches,

It has come to my attention through dozens of calls, emails and text messages that the NCAA is scrambling trying to find a tungsten weight maker to provide tungsten weights for the D1 and D2 national meets. It is my understanding that this is because of the inordinate number of coaches complaining about that fact that no tungsten weights were ever planned to be provided at the meet. Dominator Athletics in the only mainstream supplier of tungsten weights left and the NCAA is well aware of our existence. Even with this being the case, I have been met with roadblocks trying to get Dominator Tungsten Weights into the NCAA Championship meets. No call or email has ever been returned. The only individual I was able to talk to today told me, “Sir, we are working with an official equipment supplier. If we need you we will call you,” and hung up the phone.

Even though I haven't gotten the official call from the NCAA, I have worked hard through the weekend to build enough tungsten weights to supply both the NCAA D1 and and NCAA D2 Indoor National Championship meets for men and women. Dominator tungsten weights have won nearly every conference championship in the country. They have been used almost exclusively in the USATF National Championships. They have been used to set NCAA D1 and NCAA D2 national records and the farthest throws in the world for the past five years has always been with a Dominator tungsten. There is no question of legitimacy or legality when it comes to my products.

I appreciate the kind words and support over the last five years. Without your support Dominator Athletics would have never gotten off the ground. Dominator Athletics is now the leading throwing weight supplier in the United States [Throwholics note: the world]. You deserve to have access to the best equipment when throwing at the highest level. I will do everything I can do to get Dominator Tungsten Weights into the upcoming National Championship meets. Please let the meet organizers and the official equipment supplier know what your preference is! Let them know you prefer an American hand made piece of equipment built by a thrower for throwers. With your help we might finally get Dominator Tungsten Weights into the National Championships

  • Someone at the NCAA is waiting to get their kickback, as usual.

  • By far the best impliments out there! The NCAA political crap needs to go and let the athletes throw the Dominator weight, the one that they can throw the furthest. What about the Dominator Glove, cn we use that? Bullshit!

  • Steve:

I have a tungsten 16lb ball if you need a prototype, but it's mine and I don't believe it was made by Dominator. It is precisely 130mm and on scales certified to be accurate within 1/10000th of a gram, it always reads 16.00lb English and 7.257....kg Metric. If you need a ball to recreate a measure which you lost, throw me an email. However I need reassurance my shot will remain unharmed, it cost almost $1000 due to the accuracy I demanded from the company when I ordered it. And I DO need it back. It's marked with an embedded tag, so I'll know if it's mine that I get back. Do you need it?
    Throw me an email.

  • How much improvement can a 16-18m thrower expect with the tungsten ball?
