Perkovic takes full DL points with 68.57m in Eugene

The German discus thrower and bronze medallist Nadine Müller was leading the women's discus competition until the 5th round. The discus queen Sandra Perkovic was fighting during her last two attempts and threw the 1kg discus 68.57m to take the victory by 3m. Müller placed 2nd with 65.31m and achieved once again the Olympic qualification standard. Müller's best attempt was achieved during her last round. But even her 3rd and 4th round throw would have been enough to take the 2nd place on the podium. The French discus thrower Melina Robert-Michon placed 3rd with 63.69m which was also a new season best for her. The bronze medalist of the European Championships, Shanice Craft, finished fourth with 63.28m, Whitney Ashley 5th (62.03m) and Julia Fischer 6th (61.91m).
