How has your training been going recently?

My training has been going very well during the last sessions. My trainer and I have been working on different aspects like throwing, jumping, running and weight lifting.

What is the focus of your training schedule?

The main focus of my training was concentrated on technical aspects of my throwing skills.

Is there anything new you are implementing into your training?

Not exactly. At the beginning of August, I had a training camp in Kienbaum (near Berlin) where I trained two times a day.

What technical issues are you working on?

The main issue is that I work on my launch, to hit the javelin better in every single throw.

Where are you currently training?

My last training session was in Mannheim at my home training center. At the begin of August, what I said a few questions ago, I was in Kienbaum for a training camp.

Will you be attending any training camps at another site? If so, where and when?

I will be in Jeju, South Korea for a second training camp with the national team to prepare for the World Championships.

Who is your current coach?

My current coach is Lutz Klemm.

Are you training with your coach on site or long distance?

I’m training with my coach on site in every training session at home. But he won’t be in Beijing to coach me during the competition.

Are you currently working a job? If so, what and how many hours a week?

I study sports science in Heidelberg. My only job is to throw the javelin as far as I can ;-)

What competitions do you have planned?

Before the World Championships, I had only one competition in Schutterwald, Germany to look how my technic is going.

When will you travel to Asia?

I will travel to Asia on Saturday the 15th of August.

When will you travel to Beijing?

I will travel to Beijing on Friday the 21st of August.

Will any friends or family be travelling to Beijing?

Unfortunately not…
