How has your training been going recently?

Training is going well. After some difficult weeks I made a step forward again at our national championships with 64m.

What is the focus of your training schedule?

We are just preparing for the World Championships like every year before. The only difference is that there is not so much time any more before the competition. So we do a block of lifting again, and concentrate a lot on throwing.

Is there anything new you are implementing into your training?

We don't do anything new in training. The only difference is that we do have a child now, which makes training different than before.

What technical issues are you working on?

Concerning the technique we are working on the left-leg/block, so that I am able to hold a little bit longer.

Where are you currently training?

I am currently training at home, because with a child it is not so easy any more to travel and the most difficult is the baby sitter at another place. So we decided to stay at home, where we can concentrate in training while the little one is with the babysitter

Who is your current coach?

My current coaches are Boris Obergföll and Werner Daniels and they are both here in Offenburg with me.

Are you currently working a job? If so, what and how many hours a week?

My only job next to javelin throw is being a good Mum :-))

What competitions do you have planned?

The next comp I have planned are the World Championships.

When will you travel to Asia? When will you travel to Beijing?

I will travel directly to Beijing on the 20th of August, because I don't want to leave the little one at home for such a long time.

Will any friends or family be travelling to Beijing?

My family won't come to Beijing, so the only one who will be there is my husband and coach Boris.
