Kanter demonstrated class in Kohila

Men´s Discus report: Gerd Kanter (EST   ) threw a decent 67.30m in his final attempt and grabbed the victory over Märt Israel, another Estonian who has showed a world class effort 66.95 this year. Israel´s best was marked at 63.19m in his fifth throw. He was followed by Gerhard Mayer of Austria who threw 60.39m. The world junior record holder Mykyta Nesterenko (UKR   ) was fourth with 60.00m. His lifetime best stands on 65.31m since 2008. Aleksander Tammert Jun. threw 59.08m and was sixth.

Men´s Javelin report: Risto Mätas (EST   ) won over Latvia´s junior world record holder Zigismunds Sirmais. Mätas threw 79.86m, Sirmais managed to throw 79.36m.


Gerd Kanter: "In light of my last competition (in Solletuna, he ended up with 64.40m- TH) I am of course pretty satisfied with my result. I expected a throw like this already in my last competition but unfortunately I failed. Technically my attempts were pretty good. My last throw felt like in my best days."

Risto Mätas: "I am not satisfied with my result although I repeated the World Championships B-standard. I feel there is much more in me. Under 80 m throw certainly doesn´t satisfy me anymore."
