I was not Goldie Sayers's competition today as she fails to throw the qualification distance for the Beijing world championships, Sayers could only manage a distance of 58.28 on her 1st throw, and following it up with 58.11 for her 2nd throw.

Julius Yego has just become the 2015 World champion and also the 3rd best Javelin thrower with the current model javelin,

26/08/2015 at the world championships in Beijing, Julius Yego battled against some of the best javelin throwers in the world, and won the competition with a monster throw of 92.72, This throw has put him 3rd in the all time list for best javelin throwers with the current model javelin, just behind Aki Parviainen with 93.09 & Jan Zelezny (WR holder) 98.48

Antti Ruuskanen hit a new personal best of 88,98m (291' 11") today in Pori, Finland. Ruuskanen moves to 4th in the world, just behind compatriot Tero Pitkämäki's 89,09m (292' 3") in Turku, Finland back in June.Tero Järvenpää told throwholics, "The Finnish team in Beijing will be Tero Pitkämäki, Antti Ruuskanen and Teemu Wirkkala or Ari Mannio. Australian javelin thrower Kimberley Mickle says she's still searching for "that one big one" and hopes to unleash it at the world athletics championships in Beijing next month.
