Jacko was old enough to compete at World Indoors as I think he is turning 20 at the end of the year. It would have been great to have him there but he choose not to try and qualify for it and therefor did have a mark.
But his next comp will be NZ Nats at the end of March. Well, that's if he wants to go to the Comm' Games or not
I know, maybe it was written thinking about similar cases like Jacko Gill's....

You may want to read this. Informative!
New look for Team Jacko -

Apparently, he is taking it step by step....Commonwealth Games, and so on...
-
"Gill's next committed target is to compete at the New Zealand Championships, which take place in Wellington from March 28-30." according to the former cited article.

Al Feuerbach. And on a humorous note Jacko Gill...

Apparently it takes 10,000 hours of training to become a world expert in a given field. That plus expert preparation plus confidence resulting from past competitions.
Al Oerter was probably the best clutch performance thrower ever, having won 4 gold Olympic medals in diverse conditions.
More recently, at the youth level, I would say Jacko Gill. Winning a World Championship by a margin of 4 meters (24.35 m vs 20.35 m.) and with a new world record is pretty amazing, in my humble opinion. I can't wait to see what he will soon achieve with the 7.257 kg shot, having already thrown 20.38 m with the big shot about two years ago....!
-
If he works any harder, he will explode!
-
My gosh! The shot looks so little in your hand! You are a giant at 16 years of age!!!
-
I wonder if he competes enough, although that has not been a problem before. Also I wonder if he can reach the 21 m. mark, in competition?
-
I believe so!
-
Does anyone on earth know when Jacko Gill will compete next!?
-
Jacko Gill has been rather secretive lately. I doubt he now wants to share information. I believe he wants to let his next competition performance do the talking. I expect something big, if everything clicks good!!
-
Jacko Gill now holds the world record for the junior 6 kg shot. It is 23.00 meters.
http://www.radiosport.co.nz/ne…atifies-jacko-gill-recordPlus how can Michael Carter have thrown the exact same distance with the 5 kg and 5.4 kg shots at the junior level!?
-
I will concentrate hard and try to beam Jacko Gill up to your country Florian!
