Vésteinn once told me there was someone who benched 110kg and threw 65+ in discus.
Do you know who that was?
Are you still in contact with the legend coach vesteinn? Could you get him here ? Would be awesome for some throwers to talk to him as well.
@pagelshot Californian weather is the best
The following statements are for Shot Put Training.
I had some tendonitis in my wrist in 2012 and since then I use a wrist wrap for any loaded upper body pressing in the weight room. I also use straps for snatches and cleans almost religiously. My load is not very heavy, usually 60-100kg but bc my right hand can get very swollen and tight from throwing, I would prefer to not reinforce that tightness by death gripping the bar. I stopped using a belt in 2003.
Did you also stop using a belt for squats?
You would know better than me obviously but I'm with @Matt Marcoccia on this and do not want to have a possible injury...
But this could obviously happen with those equipments as well.
I would always use what allows me to work the muscle group I'm trying to work. When doing cleans I do not want to limit my load by my grip strength.
i think the same. especially when you would do dead lifts... my hand is no strong enough to lift the bar at a certain weight. with the help of thos strips i can do probably 40-50kg more easily...
Just found another one of David #Storl 's training videos.
Who could beat him in table tennis?

That's going to be an interesting competition.
Gerd #Kanter is currently the WR holder of the discus indoor World Record of 69,51m
Does anybody think #Harting or #Malachowski will be able to beat that?
man this is strong.... is it bad that im jealous?
he makes it look so easy
Right @Sam Healy I didnt check for apple since i only use my samsung android. For android its free of charge... But on the other hand 4,99$ is not big a of a deal if you get a great software to compare your athletes techniques...
Since we do have a thread Analyse My Video we should create a list of the best video analysis tools out there.
I can highly recommend #CoachsEye.

Which tools do you use or would recommend to use?
@ClayWeidenhamer you mentioned that your coach is using http://ubersense.com/ ?
Would you recommend that one? Or would you tryout CoachsEye?
The best part is it for free nowadays and i guess its at least worth checking out.
have fun
Damn I didnt see that one can change that. Awesome.
Just changed it to shotput pretty cool!

Sorry if it is hard to see. Any feedback and tips would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks
@ClayWeidenhamer
Doesnt load/buffer on my end, could you upload it to facebook, youtube or anything? (but maybe its just me
@rvazquez
I'm not qualified to analyze it but since we do have some hammer throwers around.
What about you guys? Any suggestions? @Kibwé Johnson @kathrinklaas @PaddyHammer @Adrian Annus
Al Oerter was probably the best clutch performance thrower ever, having won 4 gold Olympic medals in diverse conditions.
He was definitely something special!
More recently, at the youth level, I would say Jacko Gill. Winning a World Championship by a margin of 4 meters (24.35 m vs 20.35 m.) and with a new world record is pretty amazing, in my humble opinion. I can't wait to see what he will soon achieve with the 7.257 kg shot, having already thrown 20.38 m with the big shot about two years ago....!
I guess we are all curious of what he might be able to produce during his first comp....
You got a picture of him entering right before his WR ?
I wonder if it has to do with the love of the game and skill. When I threw competitively I loved it! It gave me something that honestly I have not been able to replicate since.
if you wouldnt love it... then you wouldnt train that hard and "sacrifice" so much
Hey guys,
would like to know if you measure your training throws at all and if so how often?
Every trianing session?
I'm not sure if its good or not... it might have advantages or disadvantages?
Let me know what you think
I tried first time now the poll, hopefully it works
@Haww3r Rothwell
The aesics show is amazing. Do have version 19 of that kayano.
Great ad by Russ
Hey @Matt Marcoccia i tried to find it as well with the parameters you said but unfortunately I cannot find it....
Thank you @Sean Denard for the info!
Is anyone in contact with Jacko? Or able to reach him?
Maybe @Tom Walsh ?
Since @Reese Hoffa registered couple of days ago as well. He might be able to share some information?
How is it going Reese? Does it work out as planned?
Would be interesting to see the percentage of gliders v rotational on the shot put all-time list
Yeah that would be very nice to see.. But does anyone know every single thrower in the all time list? Would anyone be able to seperate it?
I'm not a professional athlete but I'm going to start:
Dead lifts 185kg | 407lbs
Bench press 150kg | 330lbs
Squats 260kg | 573lbs
Neck press 130kg | 186lbs
do not have any videos....
Your snatch and dead lift is impressive!
Could you upload a picture of yourself as an avatar ?
