AR? Area record?
American Record. For the United States.
Anyone have an idea how this impacts her Nike contract?
She lost her AR bonus. $25,000.
One must wonder how the pharmaceutical industry is involved. Payoffs and bribes seem to run rampant in the world of "amateur" sport. FIDA, IAAF, IOC–all crooks.
I'm guessing she has to "accept" it or she'll be sanctioned even worse.
U.S. Track & Field Athlete, Berry, Accepts Sanction for Rule Violation
Do you know what takes precedence. . . 2015 WC gold medalist or 2016 DL winner for the USA's 4th shot put roster spot?
I'm not Ryan but I seem to remember USA took the World Champion in the sprint hurdles over the Diamond League champion.
Are you staying in Pennsylvania this winter or might you be spending some time in a warmer climate?
Also, the IAAF will fill the fields so some not meeting the standard will be included.
And some countries will not send athletes who are eligible.
Keep in mind that even those that are "announced" aren't necessarily the end result. Countries can add and subtract roster members until August 10.
Okay, that makes sense.
The USA just added a javelin thrower last weekend.
What teams have been announced?
What happened to John Ridgway at Central Michigan University?
Isn't that a bit dangerous?
Why don't you suggest the better cuban?!
Name of the Thrower: Denia Caballero
Discipline: Discus
Month's best performance: 67.25m
Rationale for the suggestions: leading the world with 70.65m.... it cannot be used for the vote in july (sadly) but still 67m is impressive... lets hope she will beat Sandra in Bejing
I can't tell from this. Maybe has some eligibility left?<Ryan Crouser>
Who is his current coach?
Do his relatives still have a say in his training?
I wish the Frenchman would mirror Harting here.
Are you sure about that??? How does one know if Harting is even clean... Sure all his tests are negative... but who knows truely?
We can say that about anyone.
Finally someone is willing to stand-up and stick it to the IAAF. I would assume Harting is too popular to be blackballed from the Diamond League series. One worry is that the old coots at the IAAF and IOC have long memories.
