Totally agree on that!
Great work @Luke and @Florian van Dijck -
Name of the Thrower: Keshorn Walcott
Discipline: Javelin
Month's best performance: 90.16m
Rationale for the suggestions:
He was the best yesterday. Well Storl was good also but the real monster was from Keshorn. I did not expect that to happen... So the surprising olympic champion did something outstanding. -
Hahaha, well Charlie does meet one requirement of having great genetics. The other is in order to marry my daughter, you must beat me in a throws pentathlon.
Any news on that?
Did you give your blessing? -
So will Storl be winning in Beijing or Kovacs?
Didn't storl usually peak at the season's main event? -
Great comp! I bet Kovacs did not expect that to happen..
You should read his flash interview.
He said he expected it. it was a training comp for him
-
"No wind... YAY!"
Especially good for discus throwers
-
haha what a great idea
"You want to borrow my discus? Of course, go ahead! "
-
Yeah this training squad is amazing! There are not so many out who have such elite throwers within one single training group.
Would love to see Robert back in the game though... -
Yeah @John Smith is doing a great job!
he knows what he is doing and the best part is his athletes seem to follow the training plan. -
I totally agree with Florian.
Even if you are strong in moving bars it does not mean you are strong for example throwing the shot.
The speed is very important at this moment and if you are for example moving 300kg in bench press you would most likely not do that very quickly -
I found it via E-Mail. A friend told me to check it out
-
hen his elbow/hand were clearly a mess it was smooth 21M.
being injured or having any kind of troubles sucks...
Right on, shot put is so competitive and troublesome in the states that not even @Ryan Whiting made the US team for the WC...
Check the heated discussion about who will take home gold. -
I predict David Storl will be the winner....
Sharing the same thoughts as @Dylan Wilson has.
Having in mind the usual peak at the event of the year, be it World Championships or Olympic Games he is the man to be right on spot in best shape. -
You might be right about the pressure but still 4m is a lot.
Would that even be possible if the 21m toss was with 6kg?! Not sure though -
But why is he throwing 4m below his new personal best? Not even possible with that technique..
-
I do not think that he faked it or had even something remotely to do with it...
Either the officials screw up or it was a real bad ass dream toss
-
So windy conditions can improve a personal best after so many years.... well done !
-
This is such a joke.... Do not believe it!
-
That's a great goal!
What's your curren pb?
