Doping is no problem of germany anymore. We are already close to set a law which makes you banned from society and you will get a nice spot in jail!

Harting is certainly throwing down the idea that he is, and always has been clean. So many other athletes aren't going to make that stance, because they can't. . . . right?

Even if we did compare; let's face it–so many athletes were and are doping and we cannot penalize the Germans for writing it down.
Sadly Harting is one of the few who care. Many others just want to make what little money they can and move on.

No question there is a risk of getting frozen out by the IAAF goons. The agents and IAAF are the ones making the $$$ in Athletics and they care little for the athletes that do not line their pockets. The hammer is not a 'money' event, it's out of the Diamond League. I wonder how many throwers would not find their name on a DL start list if they spoke out against the IAAF.
that will not happen... they wouldnt date to exclude Harting... he brings (at least for the throwing events) all the poeple in the stadium....
If the IAAF did not allow the athletes back they would be in court and lose. I do not think they would be allowed to give lifetime ban to someone for 1st offense. Maybe.
In Germany it might get tricky if one gets caught cheating. There is a plan to get even jail time if one cheats.

I agree fully. Robert Harting has a bank sponsor that would appreciate this stance. There are many lesser performers who must make nice with the organizers and not be seen as a trouble maker. Trouble makers will sit home while the easy going ones will compete and make a little bit of monies. The IAAF will sit in their luxury in Monaco and stomp on the people who challenge them.
They do have some nice digs. What a joke, just like the IOC.

Have a look at our US shot putters... We do have plenty of 21m throwers... I hardly believe most of them make a ton of money even though they could be considered the best in the world. Joe Kovacs... recently improved his personal best by so many inches...Doubtful he makes close the kind of money Harting does.... Or even Storl?

I dont think so. It just means that he can understand Harting position. But the IAAF would not take him off (my opinion)...

Gatlin running in ANY race is not only a travesty but shows the inconsistency of serious discipline for doping as well as another sporting body happily in bed with the USA, cutting off the heads of small island athletes and spreading their legs for the US athletes. This is bull. Especially coming from a German. I do recall a German getting limited jail time for stabbing Monica Seles in her back and finishing her career.
I am pretty sure Mr Harting has said the Lord's Prayer. Maybe he forgot the line: "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us"
Gatlin has done his punishment. He deserves a second chance like all of us who do all sorts of things and ask forgiveness when we pray. We are "the despicable", when we think we can cut a deal with the divine for forgiveness, but turn around and break our compact the next minute, by not being willing to grant others a chance for redemption.

I tire of these "served their time" arguments.
More and more the evidence shows that the benefits of PEDs are lifelong. Even after going "clean" the athlete's body has been transformed and is prepared to reach a level of performance not available to them if they had never used PEDs.
