First of all congrats to Crouser for the title.
But to be honest I dont like the system in the states very much...

He could have gone to the Indoor WC in Sopot as well but no the college championships was scheduled around that as well.
Sure those athletes then choose to support their college due to the help they receive. But I bet we would have got an extra medal with him supporting us in Sopot!

How can you be so sure. Did you see how amazing @Tom Walsh was ? His improvement during the comp. I would say it would have been a hard battle between those to.
Since the gold and silver was never in danger. No one could have gone near @Ryan Whiting nor David Storl.

Good point but the system is what it is. It will not be changed anytime soon.
Crouser is still a young kid and who knows what is going to happen when he is done with college and finally can join the big guys at WC or Olympics. Give him a couple more years and then he will be in his prime, trust me

I'm also on your page that he will need couple more years to be able to fight for gold/silver with Ryan Whiting or Storl. But there are so many great coaches out who said he will have a big future ahead of him, going for 22m very soon
