Can I ask what peoples thoughts on getting the throwing closer to the crowds instead of in the middle infields as it says IOC is considering it because the crowd isn't involved. Has anyone attended one of these street meets or the hammer throw over the river?

why not ban cricket in India. So that young people can focus on other games and sports or take up Athletics. There is so much talent out there but no one to develop it from the grass root level.

And yes the more the event (shotput) is organized at local meets and that to near to the spectators, the more people will get envolved.
