Your technique feels way off and the distance is terrible. You’ve started the session negatively and you don’t see how things will […]

Sam Healy I do quite a bit of quantity throughout a given week. I'll do both a shot and discus session 5 days a week. A session for me usually consists of 6 stand throws, 6 half turns, 6 SA and 20-40 full throws. In addition to that I do a lot of drills in the circle without the implement. A lot of throwers would consider this too much quantity but to get my technique where I want it, I find this is just the right amount.

We do 45 throws a day 5 days a week. 25 shot and 20 disc or vice versa and that only counts full cross ring throws. My best throwers got in about 7,000 throws thi syear.

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anybody would give me an advice on some good warm-up routines for the hammer throwers? I've been trying different things, but when I get in the circle and start throwing, I feel not ready and get in some bad positions until half way through my practice.
If anybody have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
