  • The only European over 20m in awhile, Christina Schwanitz looks to match compatriot Storl's favorite role. With silvers behind recent Commonwealth champ Adams, Schwanitz's championship performances have been top shelf. One wonders if Yevgeniya Kolodko's time with Dr. Bonderchuk will boost her championship performance enough to challenge the German? Aliona Dubitskaya and Halyna Obleshchuk look to be in the hunt for the lesser medals as well, both over 19m this summer.

  • Kolodko seems ready for a big throw. Leantsiuk has been is fine form, no huge throws but consistent. A Schwanitz defeat would be an upset, but I see it coming.
