I would make the guess that coach @John Smith is at a meet with his college athletes. I do not know of a time I read he went overseas unless he was coaching his wife @Connie Price-Smith. She is one of the all-time greatest throwers.
I would like the see Jeneva McCall spin herself into the top-3 but that's a bit of a stretch.

There are not so many throwers in the women shot put event as in the mens. So don't think one could really compare that
