Who are the greatest throwers who’ve not took home any medal from the Olympics?

Greatest Throwers Without an Olympic Medal
-
-
• Uwe Hohn (Germany)
-
Brian Oldfield has got to be near the top of that list. 1976 would have been his year to match medals with other Americans... Powell and @Mac Wilkins
-
Ricky Bruch.

Al Feuerbach. And on a humorous note Jacko Gill...

Al Feuerbach. And on a humorous note Jacko Gill...
Jacko Gill will get some medals in the future, if he stays healthy.

I had to create an account to mention my venerable mentor RAYMOND HECHT. What a champion ! Sadly he's fourth thrower of all time (with new javelin design) but couldn't ever reach the olympic podium..

Uwe hohn!

Mika Halvari. In 2000 he was throwing distances over the WR in practise, but then he tore his achilles tendon in one of his legs for the second time in his carreer and couldn´t throw in the olympics. He never got back to that level after the injury, sadly.

Thomas Johnson no footage, just heard stories from pretty reliable sources.

-
I was talking about Mika Halvari the shot putter
There is video of him training in year 2000 in macthrow, the throws in that video are 22m++.
-
Terry Albritton USA, he was the Shot put World Record holder in 1976 at the age of 21, but had bad luck with injuries and the 80 boycott.
-
Ricky Bruch just a functional . . . loser.
Tony, tell us about Terry Albritton instead, I know he was an OL "Parade" magazine all america AT 16 back in 1971, wasn't he immensely talented ? What about his weightlifting injury in 1976 ?
I mean he was ok at the AAU but also a . . . . Bruch at the Trials . . . . . -
@ben.toussaint could we include @Odysseus here or is it too early?
-
Hey, Sam, lol...way too early for that, brother. I'll be asst coaching Ben and his team with one of my former HS coaches and I've instructed him to stop posting for now, as I value my privacy. When I break out late this year, possibly late winter early next year, you'll hear about me... there's still over 2yrs til O-trials in LA to exact my indomitable spirit and will upon the T&F world
Right now I'm in a recovery pattern, but things are looking up. Until then, I'm creating a thread covering absolutely everything I feel is essential to building beasts. Let's advance this sport, people, and end this 2+decade drought of NO WORLD RECORDS BEING THROWN. And let's do it clean; let's get started...

Ferenc Paragi. He set the world record in the javelin a couple of months before the 1980 Moscow Olympics but had a hard time throwing with the stadium doors constantly being opened and shut during the competition and ended up tenth.
