Would be interesting to see the percentage of gliders v rotational on the shot put all-time list

Glide v. Rotational v. Others

Who did what on the all-time lists?

Would be interesting to see the percentage of gliders v rotational on the shot put all-time list
Yeah that would be very nice to see.. But does anyone know every single thrower in the all time list? Would anyone be able to seperate it?
-
Isn't @Jackson Bushop the statistics guy who might have the time to look over it? Would be interesting to see.
Those all time lists should be available. Probably already in our linklist. -

Would that be a project for you?

@Florian van Dijck I totally forgot I wrote about this... I will start the Outdoor shot put list tonight

Looking forward to the list!

Updates?

Also looking forward to see that list.
Maybe @Jackson Bushop who also is a fan of statistics knows about it

@Florian van Dijck @Robin Claes @ThrowerFanatic
I just have a couple throwers left who I'm trying to find what technique they used.
I'll post them later on today after training.Sorry for the delay for the response, have had athletics nationals recently and been busy trying to catch up on missed schoolwork!

Bit off topic but interesting hearing John Smith being interviewed on Throws Unlimited. This was because he saw Brian Oldfield rotating (who is thought to be the inventor). Anyway John said he was kicked off his High School 3 track and field team 3 times for using this odd method. It was as if he was doing cart wheel style!

School work is more important.
Do when you have time to do it. -

When asked "Where and when was the 1st time you realized shot putters rotated?" he answered:John McGrath in the 1968 A.A.U. nationals. 61'5".

@Norm Zylstra more proof rotational is the best. I do not understand why anyone would glide especially if they do discus as well.

@Florian van Dijck @Robin Claes @ThrowerFanatic

I'll post them later on today after training.Sorry for the delay for the response, have had athletics nationals recently and been busy trying to catch up on missed schoolwork!
We should make a list of the current top-50 or so.
Help us out with the unk. -
@Norm Zylstra@Florian van Dijck
Thanks Norm! I didn't have much luck finding what style those throwers used either...I just made the assumption that if they were European especially before 2000 then they would be doing the glide? Not 100% accurate but the glide seems to be a trend over there and considering the rotational was relatively new back in 1980 also.
