Where is the throwing conversation happening these days?
The ring was instrumental for me back in 2000-2002 in supporting my throwing in a world otherwise detached from good coaches and enthusiastic throwers.
Where are people getting this thrower's connection today? Its sad to see the ring fade away...published at Sep 5th 2013 1:18am on http://www.effortlessthrow.org/

Well, I was thinking the same a few days ago...I know that there are other websites, but here the conversations were somewhat
"deeper"... so, to quote the former ringer: "Its sad to see the ring fade away..."published at Sep 5th 2013 5:16am on http://www.effortlessthrow.org/

Have been regularly checking in here since the fall of 2002. Bums me out to check in after a few days and not see any posts at all.

Just curious how some other coaches deal with two sport athletes in the NCAA system. I have handled volleyball and football throwers, but this year I will have a wrestler/thrower, which is a first.
He is a heavyweight and is not likely to undergo the stress of making weight that lighter classes have to deal with, so you can assume that there will not be a major drop in general and max strength, but there will inevitably be some losses.
Right now, I'm thinking the best approach may be to go right into some high volume, low intensity throwing with a major focus on developing special strength instead of trying to improve his max strength levels.
Any other thoughts on this?
