The 3rd Annual Rock 'N' Roll Throw Off will take place Saturday January 22nd at Lancaster Field House, just outside of Buffalo, New York. This is a throws only meet featuring men and women of high school, colligiate, open, and masters competition in the shot put and weight throw.
Lancaster provides a state of the art field house as well as an NCAA official cage. An advanced sound system creates a LOUD atmosphere to create energy ...and DEEP throws, much like the Milrose Games.
Past years event brought 2004 and 2008 Olympian AG Kruger, Thomas Jacob Freeman, and #5 in the US, shot putter Sheldon Battle along with Bryan Vickers of Ashland Elite. Many high school, open, and masters athletes across Western New York competed as well as across the state and north east.
This meet is USATF certified and features USATF officials. All marks are deemed eligible by high school standards as well as IAAF sanctioned.
The meet will start at 2pm and lead into an elite competion.
Entries are now being accepted, $10 for Open and Masters, free for all high school competition.

I have a coupon for everythingtrackandfield.com, and need a new pair of shoes. Anyone have any reccomendations out of the shoes available on this page?

They're out of my size (11.5) in the new nike SD3s. I'm thinking I'll just go back to what I've always used which is the Asics Cyberthrow Beijing, but I was wondering if anyone else has tried those vs. something else and liked them better. I'm a hammer thrower. Thanks in advance for any reccomendations.published at Dec 20th 2010 4:48pm on http://www.effortlessthrow.org/

It depends on what kind of sole you like. I have always had two shoes in my bag. A slow pair and a fast pair to cover all ring conditions. I have used the Adidas Adizero for a couple of years now and am convinced it is the best throw shoe made. I used Nike's all through college and went through two pair a year. I am on my second year with my AdiZero's and still going strong.
Hope I helped.
