For my Berlin pictures, go to tomsonite.blogspot.com I was obviously planning to have it done a long time ago, but as you'll see its not quite finished. Still a lot of pictures, videos, and stories up though. I'll post again (on here) once the blog is totally finished.

Was just wondering...is there any other case of a thrower going from high school or even below 60 feet to over 70 feet in the space of 1 year?? I can't think of any...took me 6 years

Quote from Coach Mac
We have been doing a modified version of the Werner Gunthor Squat Gauntlet for years and up until yesterday no one has been able too get through it TWICE !
NOTE: we maxed last Thors Day on Safety Squats so the stations are as follows:
Station #1- 90% of back squat (for 5- NEGATIVE only reps)
Station #2- 80% of BACK SQUAT for 5-reps (parrallel squat)
Sation #3- the deal breaker ( a 30-second parrallel squat HOLD) with 70% of Safety Squat max
Sation #4 (if you can still walk) 60% of front squat max for 5 reps
***if you try this...have good spotters especially at the last station as cramping and muscle tetnus (shut down) is quite common.
This is a physical as well as mental right of passage that really gets the team fired up. Surround sound...live concert DVD ect-ect really creates a fired up atmosphere and Jane Swenson grinded out two gauntletes yesterday for the first time in history.
Too the skeptical alumni out there...grin...she did get about a 45-minute rest between sets because we had decathaletes and about 20 athletes attempt it !!!
TODAY is a well deserved off day...lol
