Hey man, aren't you that one discus thrower who is like 30 odd years old and still only manages to throw 55m?
Lord knows if i wasn't throwing farther than 60m when i was 22 i would probably consider a change in career path.
I guess its a bummer that it took you 10 or so years to realise that you are not any good.
Us Americans have some of the best places to throw in the world. That is why everyone wants to come here.
Big marks means money for our American guys. In an event like throwing who doesn't want to get paid?

C'mon guys, why does everyone have to argue heeps and start attacking people because of how far they throw. This is supposed to be a forum discussing "How to Get Better at Throwing" not stirring shit, and not arguing back at the shit stirrers. Ca't we all just get along, and unite as throwers?

All,
Looking for a decent hammer throwing area in the Olympia/Tacoma Washington area. I know there is some high school hammer up here in the NW, I have some leads but nothing concrete yet. Please email me at maiday2000@hotmail.com

As I said a few weeks ago, even when she was throwing both implements several feet shorter...she's simply the best high school thrower in the country, girl or boy. Her recent improvements just put an exclamation point at the end.
Congratulations to Anastasia on an awesome discus AR. Those just don't happen every day. And to be #2 all-time in shot at the same time just blows me away.published at May 14th 2009 11:59am on http://www.effortlessthrow.org/

You mean you're excited to see what your coach will do with your new incoming high school record holding future teammate? No way! Next thing you're going to tell me is that you root for your teammates to do well.
What excites you more - what D. Dumble will do with A. Jelmini next year or the fact that MSacThrower is on a first name basis with your throws coach?

Quote from Brad Reid
I have all of the throw results including the qualifying rounds.
The top three can usually be found as they normally go on to make the Olympic teams, but it is sort of interesting dig down deep to see how it all worked out at the various Trials.
For example, from 1972, you can see Brian Oldfield advanced to the finals in the discus event, tidbits like that.
