He got married! Same with Noah Bryant. Not sure that Micheal is "done" forever, but it seems he is settling down for the moment. I believe however, Bryant is done.....

I think that frank casanas has shown superb form in the recent video clips of him throwing 67m, if he can do that now, maybe on a warm summer day with good wind he can throw 70M?

I have been privileged to see several great shotputters throwing in the flesh, from the recent generation, Reese and Adam, and from the eighties, the top five or six, all different styles, and body shapes, but the guy with the most heavily muscled legs was Ulf timmerman, yes he looked very slim, and hanging with Udo looked small, but for a tall guy, 6'4" he had tree trunk legs.
Food for thought?published at Mar 30th 2009 8:55am on http://www.effortlessthrow.org/

when is the best point of the season to throw heavy hammers? currently i take about 15 throws a day with the 4k then i throw a 6k and then a 16 at the end of practice all for a bout 15 throws a piece minus the 16 which i only throw about 5 times sometimes i do it in a different order as in the 16 first for about 8-10 throws then 6k then 4 k is that bad?

In January Dave Wollman told me that Mickey had found a job that was great but very time consuming. Whatever that entails, I'm not sure of how much he has trained? I wouldn't count him out because Mikey is a great thrower.

My junior Cecil Whiteside hit 187'5" on Sat. moving to #5 on the all-time list of throwers that I have coached. I think he'll catch a couple of more before the year is out. It's also the best junior mark by anyone I've coached both Scott and Bo PRd at 185' their junior year.
Top 10
1. Scott Moser - 213'11"
2. Bo Taylor - 213'7"
3. Sam Lightbody - 195'11"
4. Brian Ruziecki - 191'6"
5. Cecil Whiteside - 187'5"**
6. Kaleaph Carter - 186'2"
7. Eki Faagai - 183'0"
8. Steve Gonzales - 177'9"
9. Nate Talbot - 172'3"
10.Nick Sharpe - 169'0"
