I hate to disappoint you Sully, its not you! And I aint naming who cause I'm always in trouble. That damn Gorilla, he's sitting in the background LOL! I wish I could make it to Salinas and Modesto, but we are in our championship time of the season. I wish I could make it over to Maui, but that is our state meet. There is going to be some good throwing!!!! oh and then there was yesterday here in the Reno area! Winds.....35-50 with gusts up in the 60-70mph. My discus area had a great right hand wind...but it was cold. A good discus thrower would have had a hay day! Hear me now and believe me later. to bad the wind doesn't blow like that everyday here.

Like Bud said, there are many flights and many throwers all trying to hit that good wind which does not last all day. So it is not laziness by the officials for not having prelims and finals and using pegs. It is to get through as many throwers as possible giving each of them a chance to hit that sweet spot, and maybe get that "A" standard. If you measured every throw and reset the filghts you would only be able to get half the throwers into that valued Salinas wind. I say the more we can get the better.
