Quote from CanuckHTDisplay MoreTomsonite,
First off I don't know how far or not you'd throw with him.
What I do know is that they can either go and learn, read up, take some clinics and make themselves more available to the knowledge. He doesn't keep this technique in a safe under his bed while he guards it at gunpoint - this is relatively open knowledge technically speaking.
You make a good point however about too many people not being "hammer athletic" it's a different skill set for sure. Technique aside.
Doesn't mean however that North Americans should just accep that Dr. B doesn't live next door and only read a bit and apply a small portion of what they learned - it doesn't work that way in the Russian system - it has to work as a progressive system.

Quote from K-FitzDisplay MoreCoach Gary Andrew is the head Track and Field Coach at Davidson College just north of Charlotte, NC. They are constructing a new shot ring and sector for their D2 program and they have some questions. If you have any answers or suggestions could you please reply directly to his e-mail at the bottom of the page.
Thank you for your help,
Kevin Fitzpatrick
We're laying out a new shot put throwing area. I am hoping you may know the
answers to the following questions or can point me to someone who does.
1) Where can we buy cinder?
2) What depth should we use?
3) Do you think if we made the sector 65' long, that that would be long
enough?
4) Do you know whom we can contact that has experience laying concrete for
the shot put ring?
Thanks for any help you can give us.
