Like coach @John Smith has said only the great gliding putters of the past throw 20m from a standing position. Even Timmerman would be over 21m. The two gold medal winner must have a long stand throw to win. I think the German Storl as well throws far from a stand. But those things are secrets in Germany like they always do.
I've seen a few throwers bomb stands over 18m. Joe Kovacs was throwing 58-61ft stands in warm-ups down in California around May of last year. Not quite 19m, but still very impressive.
Storl has been seen throwing 20.50 from a stand by the American throwers at a major championship.
67’ from a stand?! That’s crazy big. Do the American spinners even get over 19m from a stand? I’ve heard @RODHETHROWS can’t reach 18m from a stand and has been over 21m, but he’s a little guy.
French shot putter Gaetan Bucki is able to get over 19m from a standing position. I have seen it many times
Saw Ralf Bartels doing 20,1X m Standtrhows( from a realy wide and low ) position in preparation for a 21.1x m competition.

I've seen 20,50m standing throw as well... This guy is so tremendously explosive!!!
My best stands with a 7.26kg have been measured at 16.76m (07') and 16.45m (13'). These measurements were 6 years apart and my personal bests at the times were 18.07m (07') and 21.29m (13'). Does the stand throw result have an equative effect on the full throw for spinners? My statistics would serve as evidence of it being a neutral relationship for spinners.

@Justin RODHE Are there any gliders in your training group?
If so, how far do they throw from a stand (unless that is secret).
@Jackson Bushop I have never trained with a glider for any measurable length of time. I am currently not a member of a group. I assume you are referring to my time with the Kamloops Group of which I was a part February 2008 to September 2013.

@Justin RODHE yes, I assumed you were still training in Kamloops with Bonderchuk. Too bad for them.
I remember watching Storl for the first time in 2010 at the train station competition i Zurich. That day he was surely throwing near 20m from the stand throw. At the time he finished officially at 20.08, but it was obvious that he was a force to be reckoned in the near future.
I was quite impresses initially with his levels of fitness. Power, coordination, and even aesthetically.
So the difference between Justin Rodhe's stand throw and rotational throw is 4.84m. How does that compare to other gliders and spinners? It seems like it shows the efficiency of his technique.
