I have so many inspirations it would take to long to name...
But Ricky Bruch is one of my biggest inspirations!

When it comes to me i would say that i ve been inspired by many throwers for various reasons but Gerd Kanter was my biggest influence in every sector of discus throwing (technique etc.)

Inspiration...who else, COACH OLDFIELD!!! I'd give my left leg to have the epiphany of throwing the 16lb ball 85'...if only in practice as he did(but then I couldn't pump out 70' throws, now, could I?) Something to aspire to, gotta chuck him an email, see how he's doing. 'Aspire to inspire'...maybe I could be great someday???

In the beginning it was the all the big throwers like Storl, Günthör, Adams, Schwanitz etc - I was impressed by their speed, explosive strength and their results. But meanwhile it's also the woman from the local track & field club who has been doing the hammer throw and the shot put for 28 years or so and who is still competing. Seeing what she does encourages me to continue despite modest results, and shows me that the passion for the event, the fighting spirit and the readiness to train hard are enough to keep going - medals are an extra 
Never had a coach my entire throwing career. What I did have, was a picture of Ramona Pagel in the back of the circle, getting ready to glide. Saw that, and ripped it out of a book in the Library my 10th grade year of high school. It was that picture that showed me, I needed to keep my elbow up, instead of down. From there, it inspired me to read more books and get some VHS tapes about the throws. I'll never forget the day I actually met her at a track meet, my FR year of college. Got me a t-shirt autographed by her, still have it up in my house to this day.
