How has your training been going recently?
I have coached myself for quite some time now, so unfortunately, everything I do in training is trial and error. I’m training with my sister Nicole and we try to help each other out if possible.
What is the focus of your training schedule? Is there anything new you are implementing into your training?
After last season’s European Champs I decided I need to change something in order to compete better at major championships. I thought I need more heavy hammers in my life, so I threw more heavy during winter and spring. But I somehow forgot about the importance of 16lbs ball, so now I’m trying to get back to it.
What technical issues are you working on?
I always work on my entry since it is crucial to do it right and the rhythm! Both things are way more important to me than weight room numbers at this point.
Where are you currently training?
I train at home in Slovakia.
Will you be attending any training camps at another site? If so, where and when?
No training camps prior to Beijing.
Are you currently working a job? If so, what and how many hours a week?
I currently have no job outside of track and field.
What competitions do you have planned?
Slovak National Champs on Aug 1st, then one more IAAF Hammer Throw Challenge in Poland on Aug 9th.
When will you travel to Asia? When will you travel to Beijing?
I will travel to Beijing on Aug 16th.
Will any friends or family be travelling to Beijing?
None of my friends or family can afford to travel with me
