How has your training been going recently?

My training has been going very well. It’s been real nice here with my other upcoming Kenyans.

What is the focus of your training schedule?

My main focus is on technique and power. Especially, I need to focus on my leg-power and speed on the runway.

Is there anything new you are implementing into your training?

Last season, I lacked in power and speed; since then I started focusing more on it. During my training I’ve started to do a lot of stair jumps at the Kaserni stadium.

Will you be attending any training camps at another site? If so, where and when?

I do not plan to do any training camps at another site before the World Championships. I will be staying in Nairobi until our team leaves to Beijing.

Who is your current coach?

My coach I am working with in Nairobi is Joseph Mosonik. He is working for the Kenyan Defense Forces and has been very helpful to me in focusing on my throwing technique. He has been really good to me in the last months. Due to his work load for the army he does not have every training session time for me.

Are you currently working a job? If so, what and how many hours a week?

I work for the Kenyan Police at the criminal headquarter in Nairobi. Since I started doing pretty well in javelin, I did not have to work that much anymore. I got more time for my training sessions which helps me a lot.

When will you travel to Asia? When will you travel to Beijing?

With the Kenyan National team I will fly over to Beijing directly.

Will any friends or family be travelling to Beijing?

Unfortunately, neither my family nor my friends are coming to Beijing.
