Shelbi Vaughan (born August 24, 1994) is an American athlete specializing in discus throw. In 2011, she won a bronze medal at the junior world championships and won the Pan American Junior Championships. She stood on the third step of the podium junior world championships in Barcelona (2012). Gold medalist of the NCAA.

How has your training been going recently?
Training has been great. I have been taking it nice and easy since this is an extremely long season for me.
What is the focus of your training schedule?
Schedule is about the same as it was during my collegiate season except no classes other than a online class and my internship.
Is there anything new you are implementing into your training?
Nothing new just keeping it consistent
What technical issues are you working on?
Working mainly on coming out of the back and staying to the left.
Where are you currently training?
Currently training at Texas A&M
Will you be attending any training camps at another site? If so, where and when?
No camps or anything until I get to Japan.

Are you training with your coach on site or long distance?
On site however he is taking a vacation.
Are you currently working a job? If so, what and how many hours a week?
I have a internship that I have been working for 5 months now. Started out at Jane Long Middle school as that’s throws coach and now I am with a summer track team coaching the throws.
What competitions do you have planned?
For this summer I will just be attending worlds
When will you travel to Asia?
I leave for japan on the 15th
When will you travel to Beijing?
I will travel to Beijing three days before I compete
