At today’s competition in Zeulenroda threw the ex world record holder Betty Heidler a new stadium record. Her best attempt and new stadium record was 75.46m. Her compatriot Kathrin Klaas is still struggling with some good throws and ended up with 69.43m.
Hammer thrower Betty Heidler has now four competitions with throws beyond the 75m mark. She is very constant in her competitions. She started to throw 75m in Ostrava in May, improved then at the European Team Championships in Chekobsary to 75.73m. In Schönebeck she managed to throw a third time over the 75m mark with a throw of 75.41m. And now at today’s competition in Zeulenroda 75.46m followed. Heidler is still the number 2 in the world, behind the world record holder Anita Włodarczyk, who’s season best is 78.28m.
