At the Diamond League meeting in New York (USA) discus thrower Shanice Carft is planning to start the season.
It took longer than expected to cure the harmstring. With her victory and the unofficial world indoor record at the ISTAF indoor (62.07 m) and the World Championship qualification standard at the European Cup Winter Throwing (63.22 m) Shanice had successfully started the year. Unfortunately, then she had lower the training volume. In what kind of shape is the European bronze medalist? In 2015 the discus flew four times above the 65m mark.
The strong national competitors Julia Fischer, Nadine Müller and Anna Rüh are interested to look at the result – because there are only three World Championships tickets. The trio is not competing in New York. Favorite is there again Sandra Perkovic (Croatia).
