For the three-time world champion Robert Harting a possible comeback is still far in the future. “The training is primarily a rehabilitation training and no competition training ,” said the 30 year old Berliner in an interview with the magazine “Athletics” about seven months after his cruciate ligament injury.
“I still do have some problems that do not let me work the way I could or should be able to. Especiall the mobility is a big issue,” Robert Harting reported in an interview with “Athletics”. Nothing is possible from the rotation and the movement yet.
The Olympic champion from London (Great Britain) 2012, ventured no prediction to participate in the World Championships in late August in Beijing (China). As defending champion he has already a spot secured. “I cannot say anything about it because I do not want to somehow build a mandatory date to pressure myself. The knee has no clock,” said Harting. He did not expect “that in four weeks I join the competition season, as do all my colleagues”.
