High class field in the Discus Throw Men

We have been writing a lot about the biggest throwing competition in the world, Halplus Werfertage, in Halle, Germany. This incredible competition will take place on the 16/17th of May in Halle, Germany.
With Martin Wierig, Daniel Jasinski, Markus Münch and Christopher Harting the top 5 discus throwers (missing Robert Harting as No. 1) from last years German top list are competiting. They are fighting for one of the three places for the World Championships in Beijing. The qualification standard required by the DLV is 65 m.
In absence of Robert Harting, Martin Wierig has produced the highest personal best. Will he be able to win the competition? Or will Robert Hartings younger brother Christoph be able to beat Martin? Robert is not going to compete due to his cruciate ligament injury. In 2013 Christoph already took the chance to win with a throw of 64.99m in absence of his older brother, who decided not to compete.
All four are going to face the Cuban Jorge Fernandez, the Polish Przemyslav Czajkowski and Axel Härstedt from Sweden. They all are highly motivated to fight for the victory and the podium.
