David Storl against strong US-Boys

The German throwers David Storl, Thomas Röhler and Nadine Müller are competing against the entire world elite at the upcoming Diamond League meeting in Doha (Qatar).
This duel has already influenced many a meetings and some championships: David Storl against Ryan Whiting. The “US-Boy” has competed quite a few times outdoors already. At 21.27m, the ball flew in late February in New Zealand. Last weekend Ryan was only able to toss the 7.26kg ball to 20.54m in Kingston (Jamaica).
David Storl has to face other strong Americans at the Diamond League meeting. Joe Kovacs has increased his personal best to 22.35m this year and Reese Hoffa has more than ten years of experience as an elite shot putter.
In javelin the overall winner of last year Thomas Röhler faces the world champion Vitezslav Vesely (Czech Republic), Olympic champion Keshorn Walcott (Trinidad & Tobago) and European champion Antti Ruuskanen (Finland). The German champion wants mainly to be consistance with his performance.
Nadine Müller will repesent Germany in the womens discus event. After the successful season opener at the Wiesbadener Werfercup 2015 (65.30m) Nadine is going to face the international competitors who also are going to fight for the medals at the upcoming World Championships in Beijing, China. Sandra Perkovic is the one to beat, currently leading the world with a massive 70m throw early in the season. The European Championships silver medalist Melina Robert-Michon (France) and the extremely strong Gia Lewis-Smallwood (USA) are the other two to look at. Unfortunately, Gia has not been able to throw beyond 60m in the very young season, so either she is not in a good shape or will surprise everyone in Doha, Qatar.
