As stated earlier the world biggest throwing event will take place in less than two weeks: The World Biggest Throwing Festival “HALPLUS Werfertage”. The first major battle in the HALPLUS Werfertage is already fixed. The world record in hammer throw Anita Wlodarczyk had already confirmed her start, and now also the former world record holder Betty Heidler announced to compete in Halle, Germany.
Thus, at the meeting in Halle the two best hammer throwers of last years season are fighting for the victory. Currently, Betty Heidler leads the 2015 top list. The fact that Wlodarczyk has broken the world record last year, the one Betty has set in Halle in 2011 will certainly help to ensure that the competition is exciting and of high class. The other confirmed throwers give additional good reason to hope for a good competition. Kathrin Klaas, who broke last years winning streak of Betty Heidler at German Championships will also be fighting for the victory.
Anita Wlodarczyk gets support of their Polish teammate Joanna Fiodorow. She won the bronze medal at last years European Championships in Zurich, next to Woldarczyks grabbing the gold medal. With the Chinese Liu Tingting and Eva Orban from Hungary two hammer throwers come with personal bests of 73 m and more. Both of them have thrown their personal bests at the Halplus Werfertage in 2013 and 2014.
