Great beasts still lurk the backwoods of Australia’s Outback. Some even clean-up enough to attend school, or learn to throw things far through the air. A few of these great beasts met this weekend and produced some big results at the 2015 Queensland Open Championships. Above all were the discus throwers such as Dani Samuels 64.14m (210′ 5″), Julian Wruck 63.40m (208′ 0″) and Matthew Denny 61.55m (201′ 11″) who have highlighted the competition.

Unfortunately, the Australian record holder Benn Harradine was not able to compete due to a hip injury he is currently recovering from. The weather conditions for discus throwing were pretty great according to Dani Samuels. Nevertheless, Wruck and Denny produced some major results during the competition.
