Fedrick Dacres (born February 28, 1994) is a Jamaican discus thrower. He won a gold medal at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Athletics, becoming the first Jamaican discus thrower ever to do so. He went on to win a gold medal at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics, also becoming the first Jamaican discus thrower ever to do so. Dacres participated in the boys’ discus throw at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics.

I need to improve my strength
Where will you be living this winter?
I will be living in Kingston at Uwi Mona,
Who are you training with?
I train with the Uwi Mona track team and I’m training with sir Julian Robinson.
Are you throwing in the off-season in practice?
I cannot throw much until January
What weight lifting exercises will you do?
I do squats, bench press, snatches, cleans, shoulder press, split jerk and flys
Do you see your coach much? Who is your coach?
In the off season I dont see my coach much but we make it work.
Are you going to try anything new this off-season? If so, what?
Just gonna try and get my injured knee to 100% again nothing really new.
What will you do to relax? Vacation planned?
I’m a university student so there isn’t much relaxing but I draw and listen music to keep me calm. I do not have any vacations planned.
When do you plan to compete again?
I plan to compete in January of next year
