Sergej Sergeyevich Litvinov (born 27 January 1986 in Rostov-on-Don) is a former German (dual citizenships since 3 December 1999) hammer thrower, (now competing for Russia), with a personal best of 80.98 (265′ 8¼”) with the 7.26 kg hammer (16 lbs), set on 13th June 2012 in Moscow. He has been a finalist in numerous Junior championships and attended the 2009/2011/2013 World Championships in Athletics.

What do you need to work on, improve?
I have to work on my technique (as always) and on my special strength. I have to improve everything in little steps.
Where will you be living this winter?
In winter i will be in Adler as allways. We have great conditions here.
Who are you training with?
I’am training in a big group with Ivan Tikhon,Igor Vinichenko and some young guys like Ilya Terentyev (3rd place in Eugene u20 WCH),Igor Buriy (5th place u20 WCH)
Are you throwing in the off-season in practice?
I will throw a lot in the off season.
What weight lifting exercises will you do?
Clean, snatch and squad are the basics and a few other exercises.
Do you see your coach much? Who is your coach?
My coach is my dad, Sergej Litvinov senior. I see him in the whole season.
Are you going to try anything new this off-season? If so, what?
I will try to reduce the maximal attempts throws. I hope can became more stabil after this.
What will you do to relax? Vacation planned?
I was in Germany in October by my mother with my wife and my son.
When do you plan to compete again?
Maybe i will start to compete at the Winter European Cup but the main goal is the World Champs.
