The current javelin World Champion Christina Obergföll will be back in training in October. After her maternity leave she is willing to come back and maybe even as successfull as Barbora Spotakova just did this year. The 32-year-old who had brought son Marlon to the world in June, is looking forward to the next season. Barbora Spotakova just came back after her maternity leave and won the gold medal at the recen European Championships in Zurich, Switzerland.
“The current European Champion is my role model. Spotakova won the European Championships gold medal as a mother of her 1-year-old child. I will be back in training this October”, said Christina Obergföll.
The Olympic silver medalist from London (United Kingdom) is married to the former world-class javelin thrower Boris Henry, who is also her coach and adopted her surname. Obergföll had always stressed that she will return to track and field again. Furthermore, she has the the Olympic title in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 in clear sight.
