Today’s competition in Marrakech marked kiwi Valerie Adams‘ 49th consecutive win. Adams was not able to push over the 20m mark but still won the competition by almost 1m. She won with a useful 19,69m, followed by the Ukrainian shot putter Galyna Obleschuk, who tossed the ball 18,82m. Hungarian shot putter Anita Marton took the third spot on the podium with 18,11m.
Only one more competition needed to break the incredible mark of 50th consecutive wins. That’s an amazing winning streak which is currently without peer and underlines the importance of Adams in the Athletics. The only throwers who beat her was the banned shot putter Ostapchuk from Belarus. Throwholics wishes Valerie all the best to break the mark of 50th consecutive wins!
Adams did not seem satisfied with the competition at all. Her comment on Facebook speaks for itself.
Most horrible competition today in Marrekech but never the less we claim a 49th consecutive win. I have confidence it will only get better so stick by me #TeamAdams #Grind #TeamNike #JustDoIt
