What a startlist for the women’s discus event. Current World Champion Sandra Perkovic, who is also leading the world with her throw of 70,52m takes another win in the DL. She was able to throw 69,32m (227′ 5″) in the fifth round. Among the start list there are three German throwers as well. The best one, Nadine Müller who has a personal 68,89m, Julia Fischer who blast her personal best of 66,46m in the current season and Shanice Craft who came to Eugene with a PB of 64,85m (212′ 9″).
Currently it looks like it that no one can beat the Croation Sandra Perkovic. Only Dani Samuels came close in Shanghai. But she doesn’t count for the upcoming European Championships in Zurich, Switzerland. Shanice Craft took the chance and improved her personal best to take the second spot on the podium. She tossed the implement to incredible 65,83m (215′ 11″). The Amerian Gia Lewis-Smallwood placed third with a season best of 64,98m (213′ 2″).
