Dessau Javelin Results

Dessau, Germany, May 31st, during the annual Anhalt meeting and despite the bad weather conditions were good results by the javelin throwers produced. Especially the Swedish Rising Star Kim Amb was in a good shape. Tero Pitkamaki won the event with 85.39m (280′ 1″) followed by Kim Amb who smashed his PB with a throw of 84,33m (276′ 8″), German Thomas Röhler threw also a new PB of 83,95m (275′ 5″) to get the third spot. The Double Olympic champion Andreas Thorkildsen is still struggling to get back to his best shape by finishing 4th with a modest season best of 81.99m (268′ 11″).
Tan Jian won the women discus competition with 62,68m (205′ 7″) followed by Nadine Müller 61,69m (202′ 4″) and Anna Rüh 61,50m (201′ 9″).
