The new Oceanian record finds its home in Townsville, who-da-thought!? The man behind the big bomb is none other than fan favorite, Benn Harradine, 30 year old thrower of discus and lover of life, and good food. That is how Harradine refers to himself on Twitter.
His previous best was a useful 67.53m. Harradine’s top top-shelf championship finish is his 5th from Daegu. In the world list of 2013 the front row is taken by Australians. Julian Wruck has 66.32m from earlier this season.
“Was so pleased to post an A qualifier. Everything else is a bonus. It’s important not to get too far ahead of ourselves. Health is key this year,” Harradine wrote on his blog.
