In absent of the best Iranian discus thrower Ehsan Hadadi, who is currently training in the United States, Mahmoud Samimi won the Iranian Championships. Ehsan Hadadi, with a best of 68.20m (223′ 9″), did not compete at the Iranian Championships maybe due several reasons. First of all we brought to you an article that Hadadi refuses to represent Iran but it also could be that he only wants to keep training in the states for a bit longer to get in shape for the Diamong League
Last Thursday it was the time for Mahmoud Samimi to shine. He threw 63.63m (208′ 9″) in Shiraz and won the Iranian Championships. Dariush Valiniajo became 2nd with 55.65m (182′ 6″) and Sajjad Piri was 3rd with 54.21m (177′ 10″).
Mohammad Samimi (Mahmoud`s Brother ) had 3 fouls in competition .
