It is Germany’s superwoman of discus throwing. And as such, Nadine Müller presents herself on the website. “News from Supermülli” is the lovingly detailed website on which the 27-year-old welcomes visitors as a comic figure.
Her fans have probably never seen her before like this: Nadine Müller animated as a superhero cartoon welcomes the visitors on her website. The hair to the plait engaged, the discus in the hand and of course with own great superheroes logo (a golden “M” with wings and crown) on the chest, asks the silver medal winner of last year’s European Championships in Barcelona to click further.
The lovingly animated comic style runs through all levels of the stringent page. Whether the visitor is now under “the fights” to see the last competition results, checks out the “superteam” presenting her team including her trainer Rene Sack, or the news section, the comic heroine explained on each page with the help of speech bubble or other comic-like animation what the visitor will be expect to see.
Also Nadine provides the vistor with all her doping controls. Under the heading “controls” Nadine lists since 2011 on the respective visits of the doping contollers – all provided with the reference to “negative”. Thus, the user also sees: This year alone, Nadine already was checked four times.
In the photo and video gallery Nadine Müller grants the fans under the sub-heading “Private” glimpses of her life besides sports. Whether as a baby in the playpen, with cool sunglasses on vacation or in evening dress at the Olympic Ball last year – these photos show a side of the athlete, who the fans do not get to see, otherwise. In the “gallery” there are also some of the most beautiful shots of Nadine Müller while competing.
So far Nadine Müller’s website is temporarily available only in German but the English version should follow very soon as well.
Peter Sack, a former German Shot Putter, developed this great website. Check out some other websites he already did for the German athletes.
