Hammer thrower Markus Esser has two goals for the future: to participate in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and then a career as a head coach in his discipline.
“I want to see my fourth Games. If my health will remain as it is right now, I will continue to throw another four years,” said Esser (33) in the club magazine of TSV Bayer 04. Even the coaching career he expressed concretely.
“I’m currently busy with my A-trainer license and I’m writing on my thesis for it. In September I have to take an exam which will show if I’m capable of coaching. After that I would go to the Training Academy and to become a certified trainer which is needed to become a head coach” Esser said.
