In Februar 2011 German Shot Putter Denise Hinrichs had already her first surgery due to a cruciate rupture and had to skip the season. It seems that she has no luck with her knee. In the beginning of 2013 she had again a cruciate rupture and needed surgery.
Denise had a successful surgery on her knee. “The surgery went very well, Professor Michael J. Strobel is also very happy,” said the Indoor Silver Medalist of the European Championships in 2009. Due to the need for her second surgery on her knee Denise Hinrichs has to skip again a promising season. “I have received a new cruciate ligament; additionally the torn lateral meniscus was fixed as well” said the EM-eighth of 2010.
Finally, Denise can go back home next Sunday. Then she has to rely on crutches for four weeks.
Due to all the surgeries she already had in her young career she could not improve her personal bests since 2009. Her personal outdoor best of 19.47m is still from Halle 23rd of May 2009 and personal indoor best of 19.63m from Torino 6th of March.
